The history of Isotecnic, now known as Isotta, began in 1967 when Egidio Isotta, at just 18 years old, opened his photographic studio “Foto Isotta” in Lazise, on Lake Garda. From the beginning, Egidio showed a deep passion for photography, specializing in terrestrial shots.
In 1977, driven by curiosity and the desire to explore new worlds, Egidio undertook his first underwater adventures, tackling the technical challenges of underwater photography, especially lighting.
This led him, in 1980, to develop the Isomat 33, Isotta's first underwater flash. Compact, high-performance and with a distinctive design in red anodized aluminum, the Isomat 33 immediately became a point of reference in the sector.
Thanks to the success of the Isomat 33, Egidio and his wife Lilia officially founded the Isotecnic company in 1982, continuing to innovate with new products such as the Isolux and the Isomat 33 TTL in the 1990s.
Isotta soon became a trusted name among underwater photographers around the world, maintaining its headquarters in Lazise but extending its fame far beyond the borders of Italy.
Today, Isotta is a leader in the diving equipment sector, offering advanced products that respond to modern needs, remaining true to the passion and innovation that have driven the company since day one.
