CHECK OUT

Check the O-rings every time you open and close the housing and make sure there are no hairs, dust or grains.

LUBRICATES

Lubricate the O-rings with neutral silicone grease when necessary and without overdoing it.

WASH

Thoroughly wash the tightly sealed housing in fresh water after each dive.

CLEAN UP

Clean the portholes regularly with a dry optical cloth.

HOW TO SEND A HOUSING FOR MAINTENANCE

Send the housing to Isotecnic or an authorized center every two years or every 500 dives, to ensure optimal operation of the same.

Follow these points to make the service easier:

  • Contact the nearest ISOTTA center and ask for information about the revision times. If the housing has any malfunctions, report it to the staff already in this contact.
  • Remember to send the housing complete with the plate for the camera, where present. Without the plate it will not be possible to perform the necessary tests of the button operation.
  • Remove any accessories not essential to the revision such as hooks, lanyards, safety ropes, etc.
  • Include a letter inside the package containing the contact details where to contact you, the address where to send the package once the revision is completed and any notes and requests.

The revision is strongly recommended, but not mandatory. We recommend not sending the housing for revision if you are about to leave, but to organize yourself in advance, so that our technicians can carry out a thorough and adequate revision.

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Find a solution to possible housing problems that you can solve by yourself.

Housings

  1. Make sure you have inserted the hotshoe into the appropriate space and the camera into the housing. The trigger will not work if the hotshoe and the camera are not correctly inserted.
  2. Make sure the hotshoe is inserted in the correct direction. To insert it, follow the direction of the arrow. The cable must remain towards the rear monitor.
  3. If the trigger has stopped working, replace the battery and make sure the "+" symbol is facing outwards.

Housings

First of all, check that the porthole lock is not engaged.

When the case is left inactive for a long time, it is possible that the O-rings dry out and create traction, making it difficult to open the porthole.

Always remember to lubricate the O-rings before installing the porthole.

To remove the macro porthole and the extension rings, try our special keys B102 or B120.

Alternatively, place the case in a stable position, where it cannot fall and turn the porthole anti-clockwise with both hands.
